It’s OK not to be OK
You’re late for the school run. Your teenage daughter is screaming upstairs because her blazer is dirty. You had washed, dried and ironed it ready for this morning, but she has spilled foundation all over it. She knows it’s not your fault but she’s stressed about the mock exams taking place later in the day, so she lashes out at whoever is listening.

Our family recently went on a two-month camping adventure. My husband had a contract that either meant a four-hour commute or staying away, so instead we all went and camped nearby. A few weeks in we visited my parents with clothes to wash, devices to charge and jobs to do using their Wi-Fi. It never occurred to me that they would say no. I knew they would welcome us with open arms (and a warm shower), and that they would let us use their clean towels and washing machine before sending us off to continue on our adventure.

American pastor commits suicide
Inland Hills lead pastor Andrew Stoecklein, 30, recently died after battling depression and anxiety. While I don’t know whether he was getting any help with this, I can safely say that many of us – men in particular – do not seek help when we are going through struggles.

What is faith? When I ask this I usually get a variety of answers including ‘belief’, ‘trust’ and ‘action’. I recently asked this during a Facebook Live session and the answers included ‘hope, trust or belief in someone or something we can’t see or feel’.
