Bob Hartman is looking forward to heavenly bliss

The wolf shall dwell with the lamb,

and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat,

and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together;

and a little child shall lead them.

7 The cow and the bear shall graze;

their young shall lie down together;

and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8 The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra,

and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adders den.

9 They shall not hurt or destroy

in all my holy mountain;

for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD

as the waters cover the sea.

 (Isaiah 11:6-9)

Lion-Lamb

One bright, shiny day

When God gets his way,

The wolf will have lunch with lamb.

She won’t fill his plate.

No, like best beastie mates,

Together they’ll eat bread and jam.

And they’ll swing and they’ll sway

In God’s big parade,

With a little child leading the way!

One bright, shiny day,

When God gets his way,

The leopard will sleep with the goat.

He’ll do her no harm,

Just keep his friend warm,

Like a big lovely spotted fur coat.

And they’ll swing and they’ll sway

In God’s big parade,

With a little child leading the way!

One bright, shiny day,

When God gets his way,

The cow will eat grass with the bear.

The cub and the calf

Will play games and laugh,

Then curl up and nap in their lair.

And they’ll swing and they’ll sway

In God’s big parade,

With a little child leading the way!

One bright, shiny day

When God gets his way,

The lion will dine with the ox.

Not burgers and steaks,

With french fries and shakes,

But mouthfuls of straw from a box

And they’ll swing and they’ll sway

In God’s big parade,

With a little child leading the way!

One bright, shiny day,

When God gets his way,

Toddlers will hang out with snakes.

They’ll play near their dens,

Just like they were friends,

And offer them biscuits and cakes.

And they’ll swing and they’ll sway

In God’s big parade,

With a little child leading the way!

One bright, shiny day,

When God gets his way,

No one will hit or will hurt.

From God’s holy mountain,

His truth, like a fountain,

Will wash over all the Earth.

And we’ll all swing and sway

In God’s big parade,

While a child, just like you, leads the way!
