Talking to children about Ash Wednesday
Lent is a time of solemn preparation and reflection, as we look forward to Easter and the celebrations of Jesus’ resurrection. The season mirrors the time Jesus spent in the desert praying, fasting and being tempted by the devil. Much of what we do during Lent revolves around repenting and saying sorry for what we have done wrong, as well as giving things up that we won’t do or eat again until Easter.
