Over two million young Catholics gathered in Kraków, Poland to celebrate World Youth Day at the end of July. Held every few years, World Youth Day saw young people from all over the world engage in a week of activities, culminating in a huge Mass on the Sunday. Pope Francis met with the Polish government, visited Auschwitz and presided over many Masses.
