A classic of this genre, TV in the 70s was dominated by the whistling aliens who peacefully lived alongside The Soup Dragon – as you can tell, it was a simpler time.
Teletubbies
Remember when Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po were the planet’s biggest cultural stars? What an odd year that was; unfortunately they wished us a Tubby-byebye and left Noo-noo to clean up the remains of their Tubby toast.
In the Night Garden
The esteemed writer of this page doesn’t have children, nor young enough siblings to know who Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka are, but suffice to say they’re very important and influential in the lives of children, without ever saying a word.
