Youth for Christ have released a new report on Generation Z (roughly those born after 1995), which looks at the views and behaviours of today’s young people in the digital space. May 2017’s Gen Z: Rethinking Culture revealed that 94 percent of young people engage with social media daily and 75 per cent engage with YouTube with the same regularity. The report also identified YouTube as the most effective space for sharing Jesus with young people online. Gen Z: Digital Generation is the second in a trilogy of research pieces and aims to unpack the results of Gen Z: Rethinking Culture. These are vital for us as youth workers, as we continue to consider how we relevantly connect today’s young people in Britain with the good news of the gospel.
